🤝 FSU Celebrates Research Partnership with AWS | FSU News
FSU hosted the FSU‑AWS Researcher Showcase and Awards to celebrate its collaboration with Amazon Web Services, highlighting innovative research powered by AWS cloud tools.

  • The event honored 11 researchers from various fields with AWS Research awards. With AWS, they can handle massive, complex datasets—like analyzing millions of images and metadata for intersection safety studies—something only possible with scalable cloud infrastructure.

  • Faculty and students from departments such as social work, engineering, health sciences, and communication demonstrated how AWS tools are advancing research across multiple fields.

  • University leadership emphasized the growing importance of cloud computing and AI in accelerating research, aligning with FSU’s strategic vision to expand advanced computational capabilities and innovation.

  • “Our goal as a technology provider and an industry partner is to help accelerate researchers’ work at a low cost,” said AWS Senior Leader Michael Curry.
