The world’s best runners are in Tallahassee for the 46th World Athletics Cross Country Championships this Saturday, January 10th. This marks the event’s long-awaited return to U.S. soil for the first time in over 30 years!
Apalachee Regional Park, home to a nationally renowned cross-country course, will host the championships and welcome athletes and spectators from around the world. The park has held over 75 national, state, and local events in the past 13 years.
Widely regarded as the pinnacle event for cross country and long-distance running, this global competition unites the world’s fastest athletes in a showcase of grit, endurance, and international unity—set against the rolling hills and natural beauty of Florida’s Capital City.
