🌳 Leaf It to the Pros: Tree Climbing Showdown | Tal Chamber
Tallahassee-based Miller’s Tree Service hosted its annual tree climbing competition on Jan. 30, bringing together top arborists from across the country for a high-energy, festival-style event. The full-day competition challenges climbers to become safer, smarter, and stronger while showcasing the precision, skill, and safety expertise required in professional tree care.
The event followed International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) rules and included multiple timed challenges that simulate real-world arborist tasks such as rope placement, climbs, limb walking, and rescue scenarios. It also served as a qualifying competition for the Florida Tree Climbing Championships, giving participants the chance to advance to the state level.
The overall winners of the 2026 Miller’s Tree Service Tree Climbing Competition were Bailey Sumner, Matt Richards, Miguel Diego Juan, and Mychal Messenger. Four Miller’s Tree Service team members—Bailey Sumner, Miguel Diego Juan, Diego Perez, and Miller Ellinor—will go on to represent the company at the state competition in March.
