In honor of 9/11 victims, yesterday Tallahassee unveiled a memorial featuring a beam from South Tower and a beautiful tribute to the victims lost and events that unfolded that day. I will forever remember the fateful day as my college friend had to wake up learning that her father was in North Tower. #neverforget

9/11 Memorial was unveiled yesterday, which is now open to the public for visitation
Michael Terhune, retired Tallahassee Fire Department firefighter, applied in 2009 to receive a piece of the World Trade Center through the 9/11 Families Association. Approved in 2011, he waited for 12 years for the installment and unveiling to complete. Talk about resilience & patience. | Tal Dem
