🏈 FSU Football Rebuilds After 2-10 Season: New Faces, New Hope in Tallahassee. | Tal Dem

  • After a 2-10 record in 2024, Florida State enters 2025 with 49 new players, a revamped coaching staff, and hopes of a turnaround. A recent USA Today Sports preview highlights the major changes and cautious optimism surrounding the program.

  • Head coach Mike Norvell overhauled his staff and strategy, bringing in new offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn and defensive coordinator Tony White. The team also added more than a dozen transfers, including several high-impact players on both sides of the ball.

  • USA TODAY reporters predicted FSU will finish the 2025 season with a record between 7-5 and 9-3. The FSU football team began the 2025 season with a 31-17 victory over No. 8 Alabama, exceeding expectations. “This is the kind of win that can flip a whole season,” one analyst told USA Today. “It wasn’t just an upset. It was a statement.” 🏆 | Stream via ABC

  • The Seminoles will go on the road to face teams like Stanford, NC State, Virginia, and Clemson, and will take on rivals Miami, Florida, and Clemson. The regular-season finale against the Gators on Nov. 29 could play an important role in how the season wraps up. | Seminole Schedule

  • Even with a strong Week 1 win, consistency will be important. USA Today projects a 7-5 finish, but if FSU builds on its early momentum, there’s potential for a better outcome. One ACC analyst noted that if Castellanos stays healthy and the defense holds up, the team could reach 9 or even 10 wins. 🙌🏻

Predictions for FSU football’s 2025 season from USA TODAY reporters:

  1. Liam Rooney, Tal Dem - Covers FSU | 8-4 (6-2 ACC)

  2. Peter Holland Jr., Tal Dem - Covers FSU | 9-3 (6-2 ACC)

  3. Anna Synder, Fay Observer - Covers Duke | 7-5 (5-3 ACC)

  4. C.L. Brown, Courier Journal - Covers Louisville | 7-5 (5-3 ACC)

  5. Rodd Baxley, Fay Observer - Covers UNC, NC State | 8-4 (6-2 ACC)

  6. Thomas Noie, South Bend Tribune - Covers Notre Dame | 8-4 (6-2 ACC)

🏐 Rattlers Unveil 2025 Volleyball Schedule: A Season Packed with Exciting Matchups. | FAMU Athletics

  • Florida A&M University (FAMU) released its 2025 volleyball schedule, featuring a mix of home games, conference battles, and challenging non-conference matchups. The Rattlers are gearing up for a competitive season in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

  • The schedule includes 13 home games at the Al Lawson Multipurpose Center, giving fans plenty of chances to support the team in person. Key conference opponents like Bethune-Cookman, North Carolina Central, and Norfolk State will visit Tallahassee, while the Rattlers will travel to face tough road rivals, including Howard and Morgan State.

  • The season begins with several non-conference games, giving the team a chance to build momentum before starting MEAC competition. Key events include tournaments at Florida International University (FIU) and Georgia State University (GSU).

  • The 2025 season kicked off at home on August 24, with FAMU hosting West Florida for an exhibition game. The Rattlers lost 3-1, despite taking an early lead in the first set. Head coach Gokhan Yilmaz said the team showed a strong start but needs to keep that level throughout the match. The game gave the team useful experience as they get ready for the season ahead.

  • Head coach Charles’ squad is focused on building chemistry and improving last season’s performance. “We’re excited about the mix of experienced players and fresh talent,” Coach Charles said. “The schedule challenges us in the right ways and prepares us for the conference battles ahead.”

  • Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars and come out to cheer the Rattlers through what promises to be an exciting 2025 season. 🥳
