It’s no surprise to locals that when sports picks up, local business also gains steam. Fingers crossed, the Fall season goes well for our teams and community all around.

FSU Seminoles Kick’s Off their Football Season Sept. 3rd with their first home game against LSU. Entire Fall Schedule Here For newcomers, here’s what Stadium seating and tickets look like via Seminole Boosters. You can also purchase various ticket packages here.

Nationally ranked FSU’s women’s soccer team starts their first game of the season this weekend at UCF and their first home game is on Sept. 3rd. You can expect a full crowd and fun time w/ the family. Tickets are free all season until the ACC playoffs. Tal Dem

Big Bend Friday Night Lights

The Big Bend is known for a solid breeding ground for young athletic talent. Keep an eye out for Big Bend Preps this year. Tallahassee Democrat released a “one-stop list” for all things High School football this season.

🐄Sea Cows aka Manatees Mate in Groups😯

Pinellas County issued a kind reminder that it’s mating season for Manatees, so you can stop calling them regarding manatees in distress. This is apparently a crowd event   and it is illegal to disturb or touch manatees in Florida. You can steer clear. Florida Fish & Wildlife are well aware of this seasonal group activity. It’s a good thing cows don’t mate in groups… or do they? | USA Today

Messi: The Gift that Keeps on Giving

USWMNT went out by a VAR’s assessment of a PK, which can we please get a real photo of that somewhere? If it’s by the pixel or millimeter, then c’mon!!! However, on a brighter side for Floridians that is the Messi Effect. In an out of town game hosted at Dallas, InterMiami played against FC Dallas for the League Cup and tickets were sold out within 15 minutes. The $400+ tickets were worth the wait, as both teams delivered an exhilarating game ending at 4-4 and InterMiami winning in PKs. The kicker? Messi scored 2 insane goals to tie the game and a 3rd in PK round. Notably, 18-year-old sensation, Benjamin Cremaschi, made a difference when he subbed in the 2nd half scoring 1 goal and a winning PK goal.

MrBeast Sues Virtual Dining Concepts 🍔

In his own words, MrBeast said VDC made “disgusting” burgers for MrBeast Burgers. Then, they retaliated and filed a lawsuit for a whopping $100MM in damages in violation of his contract. We’ll see how this story unfolds. | LinkedIn News

Tallahassee Foodies recently published this post, “Dink & Dine: A Fun-Filled Pickleball Extravaganza” which is hosted by Tallahassee Downtown.
