TRENDS

PUMPKIN SPICE

The Business of Pumpkin Spice | Google Trends Map

September and all things Pumpkin Spice is our hint that Fall is here! The official start date for 2023 is Sat. Sept. 23. PSA: (To all the Leon County parents) Fall holiday is this coming Sept. 25th, so there is no school on Monday. Yikes! On the plus side, here are some interesting finds:

  • Brands starting rolling out Pumpkin Spice (PS) themed products early Sept. so much that it was the peak month for searches on this flavor, scent, theme.

  • Trader Joe’s is known for their eclectic product line of PS products, here are their top 10 for 2023 according to Club Trader Joe’s

  • Florida’s top searched item is “Pumpkin Spice Roll” and I’m thinking what does that mean, sushi roll? And a quick search helped me to land recipes for Cinnamon Rolls, w/ Pumpkin Spice flavor. #yummy

  • Anti-Pumpkin Spice? Watch this hilarious and now viral ad campaign for Aviation Gin by “part-time actor” and serial entrepreneur Ryan Reynolds with his thoughts on Pumpkin Spice | YouTube

  • Starbucks now offering BOGO through Sept. for several PS flavored drinks on every Thursdays after 12 pm. local time for card members only.

  • Weird Findings: Top #1 searches across beauty, pet products, and scented were PS pedicure, dog treats, and trash bags. Say what?

PEACOCK VASECTOMIES

Peacock Vasectomies: Apparently, there’s an overpopulation of Peacocks in Pinecrest, Florida and in need of vasectomies. That would make for a very interesting business model and service. Calling all vets? | WCTV
