☕ From Doak to Dark Roast: This Coffee Shop Gets an A+ in Seminole Nostalgia.
The journey began on Feb. 14, 2022, as Traveling Bard Coffee while at FSU, with dreams of a brick-and-mortar space. By July 2024, it became Patchwork Coffee, and in 2025, five months of sanding, planning, and installing brought the vision to life. Housed in a 90-year-old building, every thrifted table, chair, and décor piece adds a character that can’t be manufactured.
Patchwork Coffee has it all: Creative drink combinations that change seasonally. | Menu

FOOD
TASTE OF THAI

Tucked along the Palm River in Tampa, Wat Mongkolratanaram Buddhist Temple feels like a peaceful escape from everyday Florida life. Every Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM, the temple hosts a lively Thai Food Market just next door at 5304 Palm River Rd. – and it’s become a must-visit destination for food lovers across the state. People drive in from all over Florida for the flavors, the culture, and the community.
Every dollar raised goes right back to supporting the temple, making it a delicious way to give back.
The menu is stacked with crowd favorites. Best-selling main dishes include Thai Papaya Salad, Drunken Noodles, and Chicken Pumpkin Curry. Appetizers and desserts are just as irresistible, with hits like Krab Rangoon, Egg Rolls, Sesame Balls, Thai Steamed Pork Dumplings, Chive Dumplings, Fried Bananas, Meat Balls, Mango Sticky Rice, Thai Mini Crepes, and Shrimp Chips.
Between the aromas, the flavors, and the serene temple setting, it’s less like a food market and more like a mini trip to Thailand – no passport required.
