Last November 4, the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce hosted an exclusive Lunch & Learn featuring Piersica, the local startup behind the breakthrough battery polymer PIRION™.
PIRION™ is the new patented polymer technology, engineered for advanced lithium-ion and solid-state battery applications. It offers high ionic conductivity, voltage stability, strong thermal resilience, and mechanical durability.
The technology is positioned for applications across EVs, wearables, energy storage systems, drones, and more—any scenario where energy density, safety and weight matter.
The event brought together business and community leaders to explore how Tallahassee is becoming a hub for clean-energy innovation. Attendees met Piersica’s leadership team, toured their cutting-edge lab at IGNITE Tallahassee, and got a first look at next-generation ultra-high energy density battery technology.
"We develop batteries with very high-energy density. This is very important in the battery space," said Claudiu Bucur, Piersica's founder and CEO. "Currently, all commercial batteries have pretty much the same weight. We are developing a battery that has less than half the weight of the commercial battery."
