🥢 The Largest Asian Supermarket Chain Is Expanding Its Footprint in Florida | Tal Dem
H Mart, the biggest U.S. chain focused on Asian groceries, is expanding in Florida. Its first Florida location opened in Orlando in September 2025, a 183,000 sq. ft. store, one of the chain’s largest. A second Florida location is planned for Southside Boulevard, Jacksonville.
The chain offers a wide range of Asian groceries, including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian staples such as fresh produce, marinated meats, live seafood, pantry items, snacks, and spices.
While H Mart will not expand to Tallahassee anytime soon, Enson Market will open its first store at 1964 W. Tennessee St. by summer, featuring fresh produce, seafood, a butcher, soft goods, and daily-use products to meet local demand for international and Asian groceries. 🥰

🎙️ Michael Dalby on CityClips Live Ep. 108.
Julia had the pleasure of featuring Michael Dalby, the CEO and President of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. | CityClips Live Ep. 108
Michael Dalby brings more than two decades of leadership experience from chambers of commerce and economic development organizations nationwide. Starting October 2025, he started to lead the Chamber in advancing economic growth, strengthening public‑private partnerships, and enhancing opportunity and prosperity for businesses and the broader Tallahassee region.
💭 Here are the takeaways of his interview with Julia:
Chambers’ Role in Community Growth: The private sector is a major driver of any community, providing most jobs and economic benefits. Chambers bring the voice of the business community to work alongside nonprofits, government, and neighborhoods to collaboratively address community challenges and foster growth.
Tallahassee's Next Generation Board & Economic Development: The board brings fresh perspectives that help innovate and adapt strategies for a changing business landscape.
Building Trust for Success: Success in community and economic development relies on trust between businesses, government, and nonprofit partners. Trust encourages collaboration, risk-taking, and innovation, which benefits the overall economic ecosystem.
