😋 Dinner & Coffee. We don’t recommend coffee during dinner for insomniacs. However, Earley’s Kitchen is officially breaking curfew. After 40 years of rocking breakfast and lunch, they’re now serving dinner menus. The certified chef had some other tricks up his sleeve that give Earley's a refreshed look and taste, with the same homey feel that patrons have known and loved for decades. Meanwhile, Starbucks is back with its apple-flavored fall drinks because pumpkin spice has had its moment, and it’s time to let apples take a bite out of the spotlight. Cheers to the weekend!

DINNER AT EARLEY’S

🌞🌚 Earley’s Kitchen, A Daytime Restaurant, Has Expanded Its Offerings to Include Dinner. They’re ready to serve a little slice of nightlife. | Tal Dem
Earley's Kitchen, a Southside Tallahassee staple owned by Morrell and Anita Morrell, is now serving dinner. For 40 years, it’s been known for its Southern cooking, soul food sandwiches, and cafeteria-style breakfast and lunch. 🍛
Last year, the eatery got a major facelift with a spacious patio, new furniture, fresh paint, and a full-service bar. The dinner service was the new plan for the restaurant, especially after the addition of all its new bells and whistles, one that's been in the works for over a year. The hold up: "life gets in the way," the chef explained.
The team has onboarded a whole new set of staff. The restaurant will serve its usual daytime fare, close at 2 p.m., and reopen for the evening crowd.
FYI: On Sept. 9th, the restaurant hosted intimate dinners, including an exclusive dinner with friends from the social food group Tallahassee Foodies for their grand opening dinner service. | FB Post
🍽️ Dinner Menu Highlights: Start with creative appetizers like Pineapple Upside Down Cornbread with Orange Bacon Marmalade ($8), Bourbon-Glazed Smoked Pork Belly over Charred Collard Greens ($12), or Fried Green Tomatoes with Roasted Red Pepper Coulis ($12). Soups and salads are also available.
✨ Main Course: Standout dishes include Oxtail Osso Buco with smoked Gouda grits and roasted tri-color baby carrots ($32), and the Ultimate Meatloaf – a blend of beef, pork, veal, and ham wrapped in bacon, served with green beans, mashed potatoes, apple crisp, and a yeast roll ($24). Other entrées include grilled pork loin chop, Southern fried catfish, and fried or wood-fired chicken.
🍰 Desserts: Finish with indulgent desserts like a Five-Layer Chocolate Cake or Salted Caramel Cheesecake with Cracker Jack Popcorn Garnish.

🍎🍂 Starbucks is Bringing Back Popular Apple-Flavored Fall Drinks. | USA Today
Fall is in the air at Starbucks, and while the coffee chain has already unveiled its fall menu for the year, customers will have another fall-inspired drink to look forward to in October.
The coffee chain is bringing back the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, in addition to Apple Crisp Cold Foam and a new Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam. The items will be available beginning Oct. 14 for a limited time while supplies last. Customers can add Apple Crisp Cream Cold Foam or the new protein-packed Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam to any cold drink. 😋
The Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, introduced in 2023, blends Blonde Espresso with apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar, shaken and topped with oatmilk for a fall-inspired sip, Starbucks says.
"As we continue to get back to Starbucks, we're focused on modernizing our menu with innovative, relevant, and hype-worthy products that will resonate with our customers," said Tressie Lieberman, Starbucks’ global chief brand officer, in a news release. "Our new protein beverages tap into the growing consumer demand for protein in an innovative, premium, and delicious way that only Starbucks can deliver."
Fun Fact: As of today, there are around 934 locations in Florida, and we’ve counted 20 Starbucks shops and/or in-store locations in Tallahassee via Google maps.
Note: While there’s a good chance the Tallahassee stores will have them, but we can’t guarantee every location will.
