Start Growing Your Garden with the Leon County Library 🪴
Since 2015, the Leon County Library has offered packets of seeds to the community with their Seed Library Program. Last year they distributed the one millionth seed and this year they are kicking off the program this Saturday at 10am. They offer 10 different varieties of seeds, including Apollo Arugula, Dragon Purple Carrots, Italian Parsley, Slow Bolt Cilantro and more! Head to the Leon County Main Library location and grab up to 5 packets of seeds!

Tropical Storm on the West Coast 🌩️
For the first time in 84 years, the West Coast will face flash flood and high rain warnings. Hurricane warnings have been quiet this year on the East coast, but on the West Coast Tropical Storm Hillary is making its way to California. This storm will weaken once it reaches the coast but some areas could see their annual rainfall from this storm alone.

Ways to Stay Safe During Hurricane Season
Hurricane season has been quiet but it’s not over yet. As Floridians we know how to stay safe from the rainy and windy weather, but here are some tips and reminders.
Know Hurricane Terminology - Know the definition of tropical storm, tropical depression, hurricane, etc.
Have An Emergency Kit - Have a backpack or bag of updated hurricane supplies prepared.
Come Up With An Emergency Plan - Have a plan for you and your family to remain safe during the storm.
