💰 Florida Tax Changes | Tax Foundation

Florida’s HB7031 introduces several tax changes starting January 1.

  • Home Away from Home Tax Credit: Creates $13M annually in tax credits for businesses supporting charities that house families of critically ill children; credits apply to corporate income, insurance premium, or beverage taxes.

  • Charitable trusts exemption: Charitable trusts are no longer treated as taxable corporations for Florida corporate income tax purposes.

  • Aviation fuel tax repeal: Eliminates the 4.27¢ per gallon tax on jet fuel, undyed kerosene, and aviation fuel.

  • Pilot training equipment exemption: Certain leased flight simulation training devices used in pilot training are exempt from ad valorem taxes.
