Migration to the Southeast 🏘️
About 1 in 4 U.S. homebuyers want to move to another city. As seen above, 50% of the Top 10 most searched are in Florida, according to this article in CNBC. Home values are increasing with mortgage rates at a year time high, which is great for homeowners and not so much for renters.
ICYMI - Rare Sawfish Sighting 🐟
Florida Marine Lab caught a 13-Foot sawfish in the North Florida coast not seen in the area for decades. Dean Grubbs, Associate Director of Research for FSU’s Marine & Coastal Labs, along with students tagged the endangered species to be able to study and track activity. It’s Way Too Hot RN 🌞☀️
According to WCTV, Tallahassee has issued more heat advisory warnings this year than the last 20 years combined. There’s a significant chance 2023 will be the hottest year on record. NASA and NOAA say 50% chance, while Berkeley Earth forecasts 81% chance of record breaking heat. Can we all agree that it’s been way too hot this Summer?
