In 2016, Lee started working in real estate and founded Zap Mortgage, now based in Tampa.

  • Experts in government-backed mortgage loans offered through the Federal Housing Administration.

  • Reserved for first-time homebuyers, and the Department of Veterans Affairs – people who have served, are serving, or are surviving spouses of military members with low credit scores.

He first learned about TikTok in 2019 from his then-14-year-old daughter. He thought, 'It's just teenage girls dancing on video.' As it gained mainstream popularity, he watched the mortgage-related videos and thought, 'I can do better than that.'

In 2022, they started posting on the Zap Mortgage account.

  • After posting 10 videos, he did one about low credit scores and they were into the algorithm, and it went viral with 3.6 million views.

  • The following month, their applications soared by 1,500 percent. They were able to get their name out there for free, and the buzz spread like wildfire! 🔥✨
