FAMU Wins the 2023 Celebration Bowl
The night before FAMU sealed their win, King James aka Lebron James, gifted the football team with his signature Nike sneakers. The Florida A&M Rattlers are the 2023 HBCU College Football National Champions after defeating the Howard Bison at the 2023 Celebration Bowl (SI.Com). Many notable guests were in attendance, including VP Kamala Harris.
This calls for a local celebration!

FAMU ranks No. 1 in Niche’s '2024 Best HBCU Schools in America’ | Tallahassee Democrat
The top ranking comes after the university rose to No. 91 among public universities across the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s “2023-2024 Best Colleges” ranking — breaking into the Top 100 — while also being ranked the nation's top public HBCU (Historically Black College and university).
Niche’s “2024 Best HBCU Schools in America” ranking consists of 73 of the nation’s HBCUs. Here is a list of the top 10 colleges and universities in the site’s category:

Indoor Active Brands has recently launched its franchising program and plans to open its first location in Tallahassee at 1925 N. Monroe Street in Spring 2024.
The Pickle Pad is the new destination for both pickleball enthusiasts and novices
The 27,000-square-foot facility will feature multiple pickleball courts with casual guest seating, as well as multiple green spaces full of yard games for all ages.
The venue will feature several interactive social and indoor yard games, a full-service chef-inspired restaurant – Crave Social Eatery. This indoor "eatertainment" arena will allow guests to enjoy top quality food at the restaurant or courtside.
Various membership packages will be available, catering to all types of guests and athletes.

CROSSFIT CONVERGENCE
New Year’s resolutions are made to be broken, especially if you have no accountability. When it comes to exercise and health, a fitness trainer is the way to go. CrossFit Convergence’s mission is to improve members overall health and wellness, through exercise, nutrition, and accountability. The founders created an environment of growth, encouragement, camaraderie, and fun. They are hosting an event open to the general community for registration called “Convergence Clash” on January 27th, 2024. More information is forthcoming.
