KILLEARN CLUB

⛳ Former MLB players teamed up to compete for the inaugural golf tournament at the Killearn Club. | Tal Dem
David Ross and Dean Palmer won the inaugural members' golf tournament at the exclusive Killearn Club last May 16th and 17th. 🏌🏼♂️🏌🏼
The two took the second flight to advance to the six-team elimination round, where they won in the alternate-shot format on the par-4 9th hole with a par.
Ross and Palmer combined 29 years of major league experience. While Ross is a two-time World Series champion, Palmer was selected as an All-Star in 1998 with the Kansas City Royals and won the Silver Slugger Award twice, with both the Royals and the Detroit Tigers. Both attended Florida High School.
David Cummings, who played golf and baseball at Lincoln High (graduated in 1998) and is an Atlanta-based tech entrepreneur, purchased the club for $2.6M in March 2022. He was "super thrilled" to see Ross and Palmer win the club's first tournament, noting that he was part of Lincoln's baseball team in the mid-90s and that "Dean Palmer was a local hero."
The Killearn Club opened last fall and features a redesigned 18-hole championship golf course and other amenities. The entire project will include a 9-hole course, a clubhouse, and a pool, and is expected to be completed in 2026.
