  • The Mark at Tallahassee: A luxury student housing complex, just a 14-minute walk to campus, will offer 859 fully furnished units, ranging from studios to 6 bedrooms. 🛍️ Grand Openings & New Businesses

  • Buc-ee’s Convenience Store: Texas-based Buc-ee’s plans to open a 75k sq. ft. store in Tallahassee with 120 fueling stations and ample parking, creating around 200 jobs.   • Why it matters: Despite widespread economic pessimism, Americans are still traveling to mark the unofficial start of summer.

  • "Despite concerns over rising prices, many Americans say they're taking advantage of the long holiday weekend to spend time with loved ones, even if the trips are closer to home," AAA said in a statement.

  • By the numbers: 45.1M people are expected to travel at least 50 mi. from home between May 22 and May 26, up 1.4M from 2024, surpassing the 44M in 2005.

  • Zoom in: 87% (39.4M) will travel by car, while air travel is expected to rise 2% to 3.61M passengers, not breaking a record. 2.08M will travel by train, bus, or cruise.
