OEV's MWSBE Division continues to certify firms, ensuring they are equipped and prepared to engage in business with all three jurisdictions. The stat below includes the total number of certified firms as of March 2025. View the complete list of certified vendors.

Serves as the online portal for the Minority, Women, and Small Business Enterprise (MWSBE) certification program managed by the Office of Economic Vitality (OEV) in Tallahassee-Leon County, Florida. In today’s competitive business landscape, MWSBE certification sets your business apart from the rest.
OEV is dedicated to building an inclusive business ecosystem in Tallahassee-Leon County. Beyond certifying new firms, they offer continuous support and resources to MWSBEs, helping them thrive in a competitive market. They also foster professional relationships to create collaboration and growth opportunities, boosting the region's economic vitality.
Why Certify? Certified MWSBEs will be featured in OEV’s Online Directory for Certified MWSBE Vendors, where City and County departments and other businesses access vendor information.
Who Is Eligible? Your business may be eligible for an MWSBE certification if the company is:
At least 51% owned and controlled by minorities or by women.
Located in Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, or Gadsden counties.
A for-profit business must have been established for a period of one (1) calendar year prior to submitting its application for MWSBE certification.

Speed cameras have become a key tool in promoting road safety across the U.S., with over 300 communities implementing these systems to reduce traffic violations and accidents. | GovTech
Government Technology analyzed and mapped data from the Governors Highway Safety Association and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) about speed camera legislation and locations nationwide as of April 2025. At least 311 individual communities are now running traffic safety speed camera programs.
📍 Legal Status of Speed Cameras by State
Permitted: 24 states explicitly allow the use of speed cameras.
Prohibited: 9 states have banned them entirely.
No Specific Law: 15 states have no specific regulations regarding speed cameras.
