GLENN ROCKET

🚀 New Glenn’s Historic First Flight – A Big Step for Blue Origin. | AOL

  • New Glenn had its first successful orbital launch from Cape Canaveral, carrying the experimental Blue Ring Pathfinder to space. It was a huge moment for Blue Origin, proving the rocket’s potential to send satellites into orbit. 💫

  • The first-stage booster didn’t make it back for a safe landing on the Jacklyn platform, as Blue Origin had hoped. The company tried to replicate SpaceX’s booster recovery but couldn’t pull it off this time.

  • Even without the booster landing, the mission was a major win for Blue Origin. The rocket continued its journey into orbit and helped set the stage for future missions, including ones for NASA and Amazon.

  • The Blue Ring demo on board could pave the way for a new way of moving satellites in space, with Blue Origin envisioning it as an "in-space Uber." This could be a game-changer for space infrastructure in the future.
