This year's Winter Festival attracted thousands of local residents, which provided additional revenue to small businesses. The neighbors filling the streets gave a level of visibility that is unmatched by the pop-up shops and social media efforts the local enterprises usually depend on for revenue. 💸

Director of the Tallahassee Leon County Office of Economic Vitality Keith Bowers said these events do bring tourists and locals alike together to increase spending within the local economy.

Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship (JMC) moved up to 18th in The Princeton Review of “Top Schools for Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs of 2025.” It has climbed 3 positions from last year's rankings and has also improved its regional standing, now securing the No. 2 spot for undergraduate entrepreneurship programs in the South. It has risen to the ranks of the top 10 national undergraduate entrepreneurship programs among the top 50 public universities in the country.

“Our students are job creators, problem solvers and change agents,” said Eric Liguori, Associate Dean for Research and External Relations at the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship. “We work every day to equip them with the skill sets and mindsets needed for entrepreneurial success. There’s never been a more exciting time to study entrepreneurship, and FSU continues its commitment to being world leaders in entrepreneurship education.”

The Princeton Review emphasized what distinguishes JMC from other colleges. It commended the institution for offering students the chance to explore and articulate their entrepreneurial ideas, showcasing its three undergraduate programs in commercial entrepreneurship, retail entrepreneurship, and STEM entrepreneurship.
