Featured Partner: Domi Station

Good news only. It’s Impact Week & 11 days to go until T-day. PSA: For Leon County School parents, the entire next week for school is off. This is the 2nd week-long Thanksgiving break of 2 years approved by LCS before they revisit and vote to continue this or nix it. My vote is keep it a week long. More room for family and good times. Speaking of, did Tallahassee have a good weekend or what?

Quick Summary

In today’s 29th Issue, here are a few highlights:

  • Local College Teams Winning: FSU Football, Soccer, Basketball, FAMU Football

  • Featured Partner: Domi’s Pitch Night Tonight

Sports Driving Economic Impact

FSU’s Football games typically draws out-of-town attendees resulting in $47.8 million in direct spending based on a brief report by WTXL early Sept. That is just measuring the FSU Football weekend alone. As of 2022, the Florida Sports Foundation announced based on a commissioned study that the sports industry on Florida’s economy amounted to $146.5 billion in Fiscal Years ‘19-‘20 and ‘20-‘2. All that said, will someone do the math considering the recent Hip Hop Concert in Cascades, North Florida Fair, College team games were all scheduled this weekend? Curious and happy to reshare.
