🚀👏 Challenger Learning Center’s new facade, a grant award from the Southeastern Planetarium Association, and its upcoming Second Annual Awards Celebration.
Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee (CLC) is the K-12 outreach facility of the Florida A&M University – Florida State University College of Engineering. They have revealed their updated facade, featuring the logos of the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, a vibrant new shade of ‘IMAX Blue’, and new LED lighting which replaced the dormant neon. However, the most impactful element is the quote from Christa McAuliffe: “I touch the future. I teach.” 🤩 | Alan Hanstein FB Post
Alan Hanstein, Executive Director of the CLC of Tallahassee, expressed his appreciation to the Southeastern Planetarium Association (SEPA) for awarding CLC a grant for his proposal “Planeteria as Second Responders: A Community Support Initiative”. The grant will focus on 3 key components: educational continuity, educational recovery through immersive experiences, and community engagement and outreach. They hope that their research and deliverables will have an impact not only in the region, but anywhere that a disaster or catastrophic event may happen. | Alan Hanstein FB Post
Join them on Thurs., Dec. 5th for an evening of celebration as they honor the community of supporters and educators who make CLC programs possible. Your presence supports scholarships and programming to motivate the next generation of explorers. 🥂 | Tickets

Expecting to hear “food” or “shelter”, they were surprised to learn there was a huge need for clean socks. They founded DivvyUp in 2014 with the goal to sustainably provide socks to those in need.
