Chick-fil-A has introduced a new restaurant concept featuring a "sophisticated conveyor belt" that delivers food every six seconds. This innovative system aims to enhance efficiency and speed in serving customers. Every loyal CFA customer knows, the only problem they run into are the long drive-thru lines. Chick-fil-A opened its first elevated drive-thru-only restaurant in McDonough, Georgia, on August 22, 2024. | USA Today
'Elevated drive-thru' is the second new type of restaurant to open this year.
The innovative two-story structure featured four drive-thru lanes, significantly increasing capacity compared to standard locations. A unique conveyor belt system transported food from the upstairs kitchen to team members below, delivering meals every six seconds.
Two drive-thru lanes were dedicated to mobile order pickups, while the other two were for traditional drive-thru customers.
