EDUCATION + CHILD CARE

If you’re a woman who has a business or just wants to start one in the future, you are eligible to apply for Amber Grant. This September, all businesses related to Education & Child Care are welcome to send their application. | WomensNet
One of the reasons WomensNet has a specific business grant for “Education and Childcare" is because 95% are women in the childcare workforce. The statistics dips only to 77% when it comes to the education industry, and that’s why they respect the way women choose to educate and care for children — the decision makers of our future!
Here are the past winners in the September business category. Get inspired by their stories and let your skills in nurturing children grow, providing a valuable service that can benefit both you and your community.
WomensNet provides a list of subcategories for Education & Childcare. If your business falls under their list, feel free to submit your application and get a chance to receive $10,000 that can help your business.

Another woman worth knowing is Lilyan Spencer who also became the principal in Bond Elementary School in year 1949. Aside from her primary role, she was also a math teacher, athletic director, and coach for both boys & girls junior high basketball teams.
These women behind Bond Junior High School played a pivotal role in improving the lives of generations of children in the city’s Bond Neighborhood.
