Q Dogs and Cream is the fourth business to open up on Quincy Square this year and had its grand opening on August 1st. Over three new businesses have been added to Quincy Square in the past year.
De Anthony will be a senior high school student this school year, but owning a business, he said, won’t stop him from succeeding. According to him, opening his first business on the square was a good decision, because everyone is on the same team.
A study done by Businesswire said that 93% of Gen Zers have taken a step toward exploring business ownership.

Another luxury automotive brand, Lexus, is planting roots in Tallahassee. | Tal Dem
Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota, was established in 1989. The upcoming dealership is set to be located on the same property as the Peter Boulware Toyota dealership at 3800-1 W. Tennessee St.
Owner Peter Boulware confidently revealed that he acquired the 25-acre property with firm plans for future expansion. He emphasized that the new Lexus dealership will not be significantly larger than his current Toyota dealership.
Pending permit approval and construction work, Boulware said he's hoping the new dealership will be open and operational by late 2025 or early 2026.
This Spring, Capital Eurocars introduced a new Porsche dealership and is currently building a joint Volvo and Volkswagen dealership. The company revealed the opening of a BMW/Jaguar/Land Rover dealership at 1485 Capital Circle N.W. in May 2023.

JH Creative participated in Children’s Services Council of Leon County Summer Youth Internship Program.
The Children’s Services Council of Leon County is a catalyst for positive change to improve the lives and outcomes of children and families in the community. Its Summer Youth Internship Program in collaboration with “North Florida Worlds of Work (W.O.W.)” is designed to provide mature youth with an opportunity to develop workforce-ready skills through a paid summer internship that pairs real-world work experiences with life-skill development training and workshops. “It was an honor to be selected as an employer and business to host a summer intern this year. Recent high-school grad, Kameron B., was able to provide additional support for JHC graphics needs and our CityClips newsletters. He learned how to be self-driven for a remote-first business.” - Julia Holly, Owner of JH Creative and co-founder of CityClips. Congratulations to Kameron and to all the 2024 Summer Interns for completing the inaugural 6-week program.
