IN THE SPOTLIGHT
LILY WILLIAMS

Williams was born an Olympian, from being a runner at Chiles, her mother Sarah and sister Mary were also Olympians in speed skating, and now, even though she’s new to cycling she already has 3 years of world championship experience and in 2020 she won a bronze medal at Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Team Pursuit is an endurance race where four riders on each team compete over 16 laps against another team. The first team to finish wins.
Williams raced again with teammate Jennifer Valente in the Women’s Cycling Madison, a 30 km (50 km for men) relay race for 2 riders with a succession of intermediate sprints every 10 laps. Williams and Valente eventually settled for fourth place.
Apart from Williams, there are also several women Olympians who are from or train in Florida. To name a few famous ones:
Katie Ledecky - Nine-time Gold medalist swimmer (14 total medals)
Sha’Carri Richardson - Gold & Silver medalist track athlete

Black Dog Cafe continues to be a cherished favorite in Tallahassee! 🐶☕ | Tal Dem
Since 1997, a woman-owned café has been a staple in Tallahassee. As the city's longest-standing independent café, it’s proudly owned by Carla Reid, who also serves as a Professor of Religion and a faculty member in FSU's Department of Humanities.
The café’s name was inspired by Reid's journey of supporting her then-expected child, the scenic beauty of Lake Ella, and the walks she enjoyed with her cocker spaniel, Phaedrus, a black dog.
Black Dog Cafe serves drinks such as Kombucha, the Island Getaway, a strawberry and matcha drink, Peace Retreat, a coffee drink made with pistachio, cinnamon, and white chocolate, and many more. | Full Menu
