🎯 $559K Raised on “1887 Strikes” Day | FAMU
FAMU successfully concluded its annual “1887 Strikes” Day of Giving, raising $559,948.48 through 1,887 minutes of giving from 2,455 donors.
The one-day campaign focused on scholarships, academic programs, and student support initiatives, helping expand opportunities across the university. This year’s effort saw strong participation from the Rattler community, with donors coming together to make an immediate impact on student success.
Donors supported scholarships, academics, student services, athletics, and the Marching “100.” A key highlight was the Humphries Legacy Cast in Bronze Campaign, which has raised $30,000 so far. Strong storytelling, live engagement, and digital outreach helped increase participation across generations.
This year’s Day of Giving focused on “FAMUly Matters,” highlighting pride, legacy, and impact. The campaign shared stories from FAMU, reinforcing the importance of continued support and community investment.
