The Rosewood Memorial Pavilion in Alachua County, Florida has received the Honor Award in the Unbuilt category from AIA Florida's 2024 Design Awards! | LI

  • This 1,320 square foot pavilion, nestled within the 28.6-acre Rosewood Memorial Park, serves as a vessel for sharing the Rosewood community’s story, symbolizing both remembrance and the ongoing quest for truth and justice.

  • Their design, blending weathered wood, charred wood, and glass, pays homage to historic Floridian Vernacular architecture while embracing contemporary elegance.

  • The space is designed to promote calmness, reflection, and healing, and to provide a sanctuary for visitors to find solace, seek closure, and engage in meaningful contemplation. 😌🍃

  • The pavilion will serve as a beacon of hope, inviting visitors to reflect on the past and envision a future grounded in truth and reconciliation. 💫
