CHEF CONTEST
AMANDA AXELROD

Amanda Axelrod from Jacksonville is vying for the title of the 2024 Favorite Chef.
Favorite Chef is looking for the next culinary icon to win $25,000, appear on the cover of Taste of Home, and cook with celebrity chef Carla Hall.
Amanda had been working in investment banking for more than 8 years by the time her son was born in 2021. She decided to leave her job at the end of 2021 to become a stay-at-home mom. Coincidentally, their kitchen renovation had just finished, and she was eager to get back to baking. She realized she had the perfect set to film a YouTube baking show, and officially transitioned from Banker to Baker. She then started the Happy Bake Day Show. | YouTube
Support Amanda to be the next Favorite Chef by voting here. Voting for the Top 15 ends on June 6th at 7 PM PDT.

SAFE FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN
IC: Tammy and Safe Families
Tammy Pulsifer is the Community Engagement Manager at Safe Families for Children North Florida. | LI
Born in Guam and growing up in South Korea, Hawaii, and the housing projects of London, Tammy understands what it means to need. Her parents were missionaries, and her family lived where they worked. | Tal Dem
Tammy connects people to where there is a need for help. A legacy of philanthropy is the foundation of her life. She encourages people to identify a passion - hunger, shelter, healthcare, animals, whatever pulls at one’s heart, and look for a way to dive into that passion.
Safe Families for Children seeks to bring the church and community together to keep children safe and families together. Their goal is to support and strengthen families, prevent child abuse and neglect, and reduce the number of children unnecessarily entering the child welfare system.
For those interested in becoming a Safe Families volunteer, there will be an online event on June 13th at 7 PM: Safe Families for Children Volunteer Training - Part 1
