🌡️ Temperature technology manufacturer Danfoss unveiled a $62 million facility expansion in Tallahassee. The big reveal comes nearly four years after talks of the upgrade first surfaced. | WCTV
The massive factory in Innovation Park spans 145,000 square and is mostly automated, according to company leadership. The products created there will be used in cooling and heating systems, which is an area of expertise for Danfoss, according to CEO Kim Fausing.
The newly renovated center is also expected to bring more jobs to Tallahassee, Danfoss officials said. Tallahassee and Capital County leaders have long-anticipated the expansion with hopes it will boost the region’s economy by bringing in more jobs and supporting local businesses.
Danfoss president Ricardo Schneider explained that as a leading technology supplier, the company continues to grow each year. Officials say the building is still in the qualification process to make sure everything is ready when production officially starts.

FLORIDA + AI

Securing Florida’s future with artificial intelligence. 🤖🧠 Florida Chamber of Commerce’s purpose is securing Florida’s future. As the leading voice of business in Florida, they are focused on leading Florida to a diverse and sustainable economy that prioritizes global competitiveness, high-paying jobs, and vibrant and resilient communities. | Sun Sentinel
With one in every 13 jobs in the U.S. being created in Florida, the state bears a responsibility to capitalize on technological innovations for the sake of economic progress. With the potential to revolutionize industries from agriculture to health care and space exploration to advanced manufacturing, Florida businesses must embrace AI to stay ahead of the curve and remain competitive.
Florida farmers, too, are increasingly adopting new technology and implementing AI to revolutionize the state’s agricultural sector. Aerial drones with sensors are being used to survey land, track crop health, and perform tasks such as seeding and spraying to improve efficiency, reduce manual labor, and further protect the environment.
Florida entrepreneurs also stand to significantly benefit from adopting AI technology, and our business community has already begun deploying AI in a number of new ways. One of the primary benefits of AI is its ability to automate repetitive tasks, freeing employees to focus on higher-level projects, leading to increased productivity, efficiency and accuracy.
