Featured Partners: Innovation Park + NFIL

Scottie Scheffler won a 2nd Masters taking home $3.6M, a legendary green jacket, and trophy (PGA). Another interesting fact, his caddie Ted Scott gets 10% for wins with a total of $1.2M this year (LinkedIn Post). He is behind now 4 Masters champion wins, including Bubba Watson in ‘12 and ‘14 (Masters). That will either motivate you, or for some vomit, at the sight of Benjamins the business and sport of golf can generate. In other good news, partnerships have been announced in the region.

The signing was followed by a brief tour of the facility.

  • The Memorandum of Understanding outlines an agreement that FSU will work with the other colleges to grow and retain the needed regional skilled workforce to establish Northwest Florida as a global hub for aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and health care.

  • Representatives of each institution will meet no less than three times each year to discuss potential projects, work together on funding, and collaborate on other areas of interest.

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) and Goodwill Industries of the Big Bend are collaborating to help residents start and expand careers in healthcare. | WCTV

  • Goodwill offers a six-week program that prepares Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students for their certification exams. Students who complete those courses will now have an opportunity to get a job at TMH.

  • The goal is to help quell a problem affecting communities across the globe: a growing need for healthcare workers.

  • According to a Florida Hospital Association analysis, the state of Florida will be short nearly 60,000 nurses in the next 10 years. The partnership will address the growing need for qualified healthcare professionals and strengthen the local workforce.

  • Goodwill has had the CNA program in place since 2015 but through the new partnership with TMH, students will get shadowing opportunities and support in the nursing field.
