Are you ready for some mayhem? Springtime Festival hits TLH Downtown this weekend. The festivities will soon be followed by a solar eclipse on Mon. According to Forbes, several states in the path of the full eclipse have declared a “state of emergency” in preparation for an influx of eclipse chasers from all over the world. SOLAR ECLIPSE

There's a historic solar eclipse on the horizon! Solar eclipse is Monday, April 8th, 2024. Is there a school that day in Florida, excused absence? Do we still have to work? 🌒 | Tal Dem
Sadly, the answer to those questions is yes. (sorry!) ✌🏻
But don't let that give you a case of the Mondays. And don't let that dampen your excitement for the solar eclipse, which will be visible across Mexico, the U.S., and Canada.
What time can I see the 2024 solar eclipse in Florida?
In Florida — partial solar eclipse, from 12:35 PM CDT to 4:20 PM EDT. | Time and Date
In Tallahassee — estimated to be visible from 1:40 PM to 4:15 PM with max viewing around 3 PM.
Though Florida is not in the path of totality, the eclipse can still be seen via protective solar eclipse glasses. Remember, it is never safe to look at the sun without it!
The Tallahassee Astronomical Society will have telescopes set up in the Plaza to assist participants with eclipse viewing. They will also have hands-on activities in the exhibit hall and a live stream of NASA’s eclipse coverage showing in their planetarium. | Challenger Learning Center

ALCOHOL-FREE BEER

“While geometry never made any sense, NA beer does,” Blake Dowling stated in his article. 🍻 | Florida Politics
In high school, he once quipped, "Non-alcoholic beer makes about as much sense as geometry," but in 2020, he consumed enough beer for a lifetime, indulging in thick, heavy brews like Big Nose from Swamp Head Brewery and LaLa Land from Proof.
Prompted by friends, he began stocking his fridge with low-calorie, non-alcoholic beers.
These days, Athletic Brewery, Bud, Peroni, Corona, Coors, Guinness, Heineken, & Sam Adams all have NA options. Check the Global NA smart beverages machine market.
The Leader beers are available all over Florida and you need to pick some up or check out their tasting room in Palm Bay in person.
