ECONOMIC IMPACT
AMAZON FULFILLMENT CENTER

Amazon Fulfillment Center exceeds employment expectations in the first 6 months, anticipates $114 million impact annually. 📦 Northeast Tallahassee neighborhoods are concerned about the traffic it causes. 🚛 | WTXL Tallahassee
$24 million in wages have gone into the wallets of neighbors in the capital city 6 months after the opening of a new Amazon facility. Leon County report in PDF here.
The facility created 1,400 new jobs and one highlighted issue is the big trucks that interrupt the flow of traffic on Mahan Drive that causes blockages. Residents in the area have never seen them cause issues but say there are plenty on the road.
Amazon is still hiring for positions at the northeast and northwest locations.
