NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory Enhances Public Safety with CentralSquare Technologies’ Pro Suite. NASA has selected CentralSquare Technologies’ Public Safety Pro Suite to replace Caliber Public Safety and Motorola Solutions. | CentralSquare

  • NASA JPL will upgrade its campus safety technology to the Pro Suite, including new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management System (RMS), 911 and Mobile solutions.

  • The unified platform will improve technology functionality for NASA JPL’s fire department, security department and dispatch center, ultimately keeping the campus community safe while empowering NASA JPL to concentrate on important advancements in robotic space exploration.

  • By consolidating capabilities under one vendor, NASA JPL will achieve cost savings, benefit from more user-friendly interfaces and enable efficiencies for long-term success.

INTERSECTION SAFETY AWARD

Engineering Team Wins U.S. DOT Stage 1A Intersection Safety Challenge Award. Moses Anubi and his team (Jonathan Adams, Joshua Hollingsworth, and Ren Moses) recently won the U.S DOT Intersection Safety Challenge Stage 1A Award. | FAMU-FSU College of Engineering

  • The researchers walked away with a $100,000 grant to support new and emerging transportation safety technology and the chance to vie for a $1 million grant for the Stage 1B award.

  • The overall intent of the Challenge is to scale the technology for traffic intersections nationwide.

  • Their winning project, PREDISS, represents the Predictive Intersection Safety System they are developing. Moses is leveraging his extensive knowledge and expertise in connected vehicle technology to develop warning and collision mitigation strategies, and Hollingsworth has domain expertise and is adapting PREDISS for the City of Tallahassee.
